Training him to walk on a leash since kittenhood has allowed this otherwise "indoor cat" to get some outdoor exercise with less chance of being hit by a car. I live next to a busy street; he'd probably be dead in 5 minutes if I allowed him to roam unsupervised. Neighbors may also appreciate not having another cat digging in their garden, killing birds, fighting with their cat, etc. www.hsus.org
