Do the people who create dog food or dog treats actually taste the product?

I don't mean the people who just work in the factory where they make the food. I'm talking about the research and development people who invent dog foods and treats. I mean, SOMEONE had to invent Kibbles & Bits, or Purina Dog Chow, or Science Diet. Do they taste their creations as part of the process?

Ellen Degeneres is making a dog food that is edible for humans…so I think they will be personally testing it.

No, the people who make those gross foods do not test them themselves!

no as they are do foods with liver and heart in them , not people food , though they do have tester dogs to taste it and if it likes it they sell the food everywhere!

I had a friend years ago who’s husband ate the dog’s food. This man was an airline pilot, they had money, but he said that the canned Alpo beef stew was delicious.

Yes, there are dog food tasters. I saw a report on it a while back, I can’t remember all the details, but yeah, the guy would taste the company’s product. I don’t know if all companies have them, but at least a few do.
